As per a report from Dean Jones of Bleacher Report, Manchester United are on the verge of signing Harry Maguire from Leicester City.
Maguire’s Man United links
Foxes’ star stopper Maguire has been plying his trade at the King Power Stadium for two seasons now.
After making the move from Hull City in the summer of 2017, Maguire’s impressive showings at the heart of Leicester’s back-4 over the course of his debut campaign, coupled with his stellar performances at the World Cup in Russia, quickly led to rumours that the 26-year-old was being eyed by a number of the Premier League’s top clubs.
Of the sides touted as potential destinations, Manchester United were the most persistently-linked with actually tabling an offer for Maguire, with it having been common knowledge that Jose Mourinho was on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
In the end, however, a move never came to fruition.
United revive bid
Reports this summer, though, have long-suggested that the Red Devils have firmly reignited their pursuit of Maguire.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, like Mourinho, is said to be a keen admirer of the powerful stopper’s talents.
The Evening Standard even claimed back in May that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had given the go-ahead to the club’s plan to break their transfer record on the signing of a world-class central-defender.

United closing on deal
The last couple of weeks, meanwhile, have seen multiple reports suggest that Maguire is on the verge of making the move to Old Trafford.
Such an agreement, though, is yet to be confirmed.
But, as per the latest update courtesy of Dean Jones of Bleacher Report this evening, fans of United need not fret.
Jones claims that terms are ‘finally’ being agreed on Maguire’s transfer, with an £80 million fee once again touted:
United finally agreeing terms on the £80m Maguire deal.
Mad amount of money to spend on him and Wan-Bissaka this summer but also very necessary
