Norwich City face a 9-man injury crisis before Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace vs Norwich City

Next Saturday at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace host Norwich City.

It’s been a rollercoaster start to the season for Norwich.

They’ve picked up wins against Newcastle and Man City, however the Canaries also have four defeats in their last five outings.

As a result, Daniel Farke’s side are just above the relegation zone with 6 points from 6 games.

Should next weekend’s match at Crystal Palace be viewed as a relegation six-pointer?

Norwich City face a 9-man injury crisis

Following yesterday’s 2-0 Norwich defeat at Burnley, Farke’s injury woes have swelled.

The Canaries currently have nine players on the treatment table.

The latest players to join the Norwich injury list include captain Alexander Tettey and goalie Tim Krul.

Tettey only lasted 13 minutes at Turf Moor before he was subbed out the game.

Meanwhile, while Krul played the full match against Burnley, Farke later confirmed his goalie sustained a back injury in the warm-up.

Going through Norwich’s other injury problems, the Anglians have five players currently ruled out of action.

They are Timm Klose (knee), Christoph Zimmermann (ankle), Onel Hernandez (knee), Tom Trybull (ankle) and Max Aarons (foot).

Norwich’s other injured players are Mario Vrancic and Ralf Fahrmann.

Burnley 2 – Norwich 0

For once Teemu Pukki didn’t score.

Instead, Burnley forward Chris Wood stole the headlines with a first-half brace against the Canaries.

Burnley are 7th in the table with 8 points from 6 matches.
